When it's slow or awkward on phones, you can't update it yourself, it no longer matches what you sell, or visitors arrive but don't enquire. Being a few years old isn't a reason on its own.
Not if it's planned. Before I change anything, I list the pages that bring traffic, keep the addresses that rank, and redirect any that have to move so Google follows them to the new site. Rankings can wobble for a few weeks after any relaunch, so I watch Search Console once it's live.
With me, two to three weeks for Starter, three to five for Growth and five to eight for Premium. Having your content and decisions ready makes it faster.
I usually rebuild, because old sites carry slow code and plugins that are cheaper to replace than repair. What carries over is what's valuable: your content, your rankings and your addresses.
No. I build the new site separately, you approve it, and then it replaces the old one in one switch.
Not all of it. Pages that already rank and convert keep what works. Pages that don't usually need rewriting, and I write the new copy as part of the redesign.
Compare enquiries, calls and conversion rate before and after, alongside traffic. I set up the tracking before launch so there's a clean comparison.
