With me, Starter is from SGD 2,535 for up to 10 pages, Growth from SGD 7,585 and Premium from SGD 10,620 with a shop or bookings. The price is fixed before I start, and you pay half then and half when you approve the finished site.

A Starter website takes 2 to 3 weeks, Growth 3 to 5 weeks and Premium 5 to 8 weeks, counted from the day you pay the first half. If you need it sooner, the One Week Website goes live in 7 days. What slows most builds down is waiting on content and feedback, which is one reason I write the copy myself.

Hire one designer when you want to deal with the person doing the work, and an agency when the job needs several specialists at once, like a large app with a team behind it. With me, your feedback goes straight into the design, a change is one message, and the person who built the site can do its SEO and Google Ads afterwards.

Look for published prices, a portfolio with businesses like yours, a straight answer on who does the work, and support after launch. A template is fine for a hobby site or a business that's still testing an idea. A business competing for customers on Google usually needs a custom website, with pages built around what its customers search for and enquiry buttons where people decide. Every site I build is designed from scratch, so it won't look like your competitor's.

Go with WordPress or another CMS if you'll edit pages and publish articles yourself, and a custom-built static site if the content rarely changes, because it loads faster and has less to update. Growth, from SGD 7,585, includes a WordPress or headless CMS you can edit yourself. I'll recommend one when I quote, based on how you'll use the site.

The Productivity Solutions Grant pays up to 50% of the cost of a pre-approved digital package for eligible SMEs, bought from a pre-approved vendor, and most website packages on it are template sites. You pay the vendor in full first and claim the grant back afterwards. My websites are custom and aren't PSG packages, though Starter at SGD 2,535 is close to what many PSG packages cost after the grant.

You pay a monthly fee for as long as the site is up, the templates are shared with many other sites, and the site stays on their platform. A custom website costs more upfront, but you own it and the SEO is set up properly from the start.

Before I change anything, I list the pages that bring in traffic, keep the addresses that rank, and redirect any that have to move so Google follows them to the new site.
