7 Best Event Cooling & Fan Rental Companies SG (August 2026)
My pick of the best event cooling and fan rental companies in Singapore for 2026. Starting with Maxcool and Acmeca.
This guide is part of Terris Recommends, my researched, hands-on picks of the best local businesses and services in Singapore. Every recommendation is researched and ranked by me.
See all recommendationsSingapore's heat and humidity can quietly ruin an outdoor event, guests wilt, food spoils faster, and no one lingers at the booths. The fix is cooling, and it is one of the most practical rentals you can add: giant fans to move air, evaporative coolers to drop the temperature, misting fans for a fine spray, or portable aircon for an enclosed tent. If you want the best event cooling and fan rental Singapore organisers use in 2026, this is my shortlist.
Cooling splits into four types, and the best vendor depends on your space: industrial standing fans, evaporative air coolers, misting fans, and portable air conditioners. I weighed each company on their cooling range, whether they handle setup, their suitability for open versus enclosed spaces, and pricing. The seven below are the teams I would trust to keep a crowd comfortable.
This is one of my Terris Recommends event rental guides. For the wider picture see my best event rental companies in Singapore pillar, and for the tent the cooling sits under see my tentage rental guide.
Start with the type, matched to your space. Industrial standing fans move a lot of air and suit any open area. Evaporative air coolers pull air through water to blow air a few degrees cooler, around 3 to 5 degrees below ambient, and work best in open or semi-open spaces with airflow. Misting fans add a fine spray for extra cooling outdoors. Portable air conditioners actually chill the air but need an enclosed space, a sealed tent or room, and a way to vent heat.
The practical checks are water and power. Air coolers and misting fans need a water supply, a tank or a hose, and everything needs power, so an outdoor site may need a generator. Also confirm the vendor handles delivery, setup and dismantling, and can advise how many units your space and crowd need, since too few fans in a big tent achieve little.
On cost, cooling is priced per unit per day, from around S$50 for a standing fan to a few hundred dollars for a large evaporative cooler or a portable air conditioner, plus delivery. Booking several units together usually helps. Ask for delivery, setup and any generator to be included in the quote.

Cooling is priced per unit per day. An industrial standing fan can start from around S$50, an evaporative air cooler runs higher, and a portable air conditioner or a large misting fan can be a few hundred dollars per day, plus delivery and any generator for an off-grid site. Renting several units together usually brings the per-unit rate down. Ask for delivery, setup and water or power needs to be spelled out.
A fan just moves air, which helps but does not lower the temperature. An evaporative air cooler pulls air through water to blow air a few degrees cooler, and works best in open or semi-open spaces with airflow. A portable air conditioner genuinely chills the air but only works in an enclosed space and needs to vent heat out. For an open tent, fans and coolers; for a sealed room or tent, portable aircon.
Yes. Evaporative air coolers and misting fans rely on water to cool, so they need either a filled tank that is topped up or a connection to a water supply. Plan for a water source and, for a long event, someone to refill tanks. The vendor will advise on the water requirement, and this is one reason a specialist who sets up and services the units is worth it for a big event.
It depends on the space size, whether it is open or enclosed, and the crowd. Too few units in a large tent achieve little, which is the most common mistake. Give the vendor your venue dimensions, whether it is open or covered, and your headcount, and let them calculate the number and placement, positioning matters as much as quantity, since fans need to actually reach the guests to help.
One to two weeks is usually enough, but the hot, dry months and peak event periods increase demand, so book earlier for a large order or a peak date. Booking ahead lets the vendor confirm unit numbers to your space, arrange a generator if the site has no power, and plan water supply, all of which matter more than people expect for cooling to actually work.
The equipment and cooling companies that win the most jobs do it on a website that makes their range clear and enquiring easy. That is the part I work on. I design and build websites for events and rental businesses across Singapore that turn a Google search into a booked enquiry, like the result in my Arcade Rental case study.

The bottom line
For the best event cooling and fan rental in Singapore, Maxcool and Acmeca are my top picks as dedicated cooling and misting specialists, while Big Top, Carnival People, Tentage Rental Singapore, Simply Events and Event Rental Singapore are strong when cooling is part of a wider order. Whatever you choose, match the type to your space, plan for water and power, and let the vendor calculate how many units you actually need.
For the tent the cooling sits under, see my tentage rental guide, and for the full setup see the event rental pillar. And if you run a rental business, a website that shows your range off does a lot of the quiet selling, which is what I do at Terris. Take a look at my web design services or get a free quote.
Editorial note: This guide reflects my own research and opinion. Company details and indicative prices were accurate at the time of writing (July 2026) but can change, so confirm cooling type, water and power needs and pricing directly with each company before you engage them.
