The first thing I check is the breadth and depth of the inventory. A strong one-stop event company can supply carnival games, arcade machines, inflatables, live food stations, furniture, tentage and AV from a single warehouse, which means fewer vendors to coordinate and one point of contact if something runs late. Depth of stock also means they can fulfil a big order without sub-renting at a markup.
Then the practical checks. Confirm whether manpower is included, because a game booth or food cart without a host is far less engaging. Insist on a BizSafe-certified, insured operator for inflatables, staging and any rigging, and use an SFA-licensed caterer for any live food station. With crowds and children around, safety is not the place to save money.

It depends entirely on what you hire. As a rough guide for 2026: carnival game booths run around S$60 to S$150 each, arcade machines around S$150 to S$400 per machine, a bouncy castle around S$250 to S$500 a day, live food stations from a few dollars per pax, and larger items like tentage, LED walls and staging are quoted per project. Delivery, setup and teardown are usually added on top, so always ask for an itemised quote.
For most events, one capable all-rounder is simpler: a single contract, one delivery window and one team to chase if something is late. Bundling also tends to unlock package pricing. Bring in a specialist when one element is the centrepiece, a proper LED wall for a product launch, a large obstacle course, or a specific arcade machine, where a dedicated supplier will have better stock and know-how than a generalist.
