Add your Terris Recommends badge to your website
If your business appears on one of my guides, the badge below is yours to use. Free, no permission needed, and nothing owed in return. Pick your guide and the badge is made with that guide's name on it, along with the code to paste into your site.
Pick your guide
Every guide has its own badge with that guide's name on it, so a reader can check the claim. There is a general one as well, for a business listed on several guides. Both come with the code to paste into your site.
The badge is an SVG, so it stays sharp at any size. Drop the link if you would rather not link out, or take the PNG if your site will not accept an SVG.
Four things to know
Use it if you are on the guide
The badge says you appear on a specific Terris Recommends guide, so it belongs to businesses currently listed on that guide. Nothing more is implied and nothing more should be claimed.
It costs nothing and buys nothing
Using the badge does not change your position, and not using it does not cost you your place. Paid Featured Spotlights are marked as such on the guides themselves.
Keep it as it is
Do not stretch it, recolour it, crop the wordmark out, or add "#1" or "award-winning" to it. There is a version for dark backgrounds and one for light, and the SVG scales to any size without going fuzzy.
Link it to the guide, or not
The snippet below links the badge to the guide it refers to, which lets a reader check the claim. A plain image with no link is fine too.
Questions
Do I have to link back to terris.sg to stay on the guide?
No. Placement on a Terris Recommends guide is never conditional on a link. The badge is there because businesses ask for something to put on their press page, and a link back is entirely optional.
Where should I put it?
Wherever your other coverage sits. Most businesses use a press, media or "as featured in" strip on the homepage or about page. Some add it to a footer, an email signature or a Google Business Profile post.
My guide is not in the list. Can I get a badge?
Every Terris Recommends guide that ranks businesses is in the picker, so search it by name first. If a guide really is missing, email hello@terris.sg and I will sort it out the same day.
Can I use the badge in print or on a shopfront?
Yes, and ask me for the vector file rather than scaling the PNG up. Print at 300dpi needs the SVG or a larger export, which I can send the same day.
What happens to the badge if I drop off the guide?
These guides are reviewed and rewritten over time, and businesses do move on and off them. If you come off a guide, please take the badge for that guide down. I will let you know if it happens.
