The best bowling in Singapore depends on whether you are there for the night out or for the game, and that is the split I use to sort them. Bowling has had a real revival here: the newer venues have leaned into cosmic lighting, cocktails and food to become a proper social night out, while the long-running alleys inside our community and sports clubs quietly offer some of the cheapest games anywhere. Both are great, they just serve different plans.

The lovely thing about bowling is that nobody needs to be any good for it to be fun, which is why it works for casual groups, families, first dates and office outings alike. So I have ranked my picks by purpose, from the full cosmic bar-and-bowling experience down to the best-value club alleys, with prices spelled out for each.

This is part of my Terris Recommends Entertainment series and a companion to my guide to the best indoor activities in Singapore.

What I look for in a bowling alley

All alleys knock down pins, but the experience varies a lot. Here is what I weigh up.

  • Purpose and atmosphere. Are you after a lively night out with a bar and cosmic lighting, or a cheap, cheerful game with the family? The best alley for you depends entirely on which, so I have flagged the vibe of each.
  • Price per game. This ranges enormously, from a couple of dollars at club alleys to over S$11 for cosmic bowling. Shoe rental is usually extra, so I factor that in too.
  • Lanes and capacity. For a big group or a corporate event, lane count matters. A few venues can handle very large parties across many lanes at once.
  • Access and membership. The club alleys are open to the public at public rates, with members paying less. I note where a membership card helps but is not required.
  • Extras. Bumper lanes for kids, a bar and kitchen, late-night hours or other games under the same roof can all tip the decision.

My practical tip: weekday daytime is off-peak and cheapest, weekends and evenings are peak. Book ahead for larger groups, and remember shoe rental is almost always on top of the game price.

1. K Bowling Club

K Bowling Club is my pick for a proper night out, and it is the standout of Singapore's new social-bowling wave. Sitting on Orchard Road at 313@Somerset, it was the first full-time cosmic alley in town, with neon lanes, a full bar and kitchen, and darts, pool and arcade games all under one roof. It stays open until the early hours, so it doubles as a late-night hangout rather than just a game.

It carries a 4.3 rating, and the honest picture from reviews is that you are paying Orchard Road prices for the atmosphere rather than for cheap games. That is the trade: this is the venue for a lively evening with friends or a date, not a budget family session. For that purpose, nothing else quite matches it.

Location: 313@Somerset, 313 Orchard Road, #03-27
Google Rating: 4.3 stars
Best known for: Cosmic bowling with a bar, darts, pool and late-night hours on Orchard Road

Next: 2. SuperBowl

2. SuperBowl

SuperBowl is my pick for big groups, leagues and corporate events, thanks to the widest network of alleys on the island. Its outlets span Jurong, Mount Faber, Toa Payoh, Siglap and more, and the Mount Faber venue in particular is huge, able to accommodate very large games at once, which is exactly what you want for a company outing or a serious league night.

Prices are reasonable at public rates and cheaper again for members of the various clubs, and the alleys are well maintained and proper about the sport. If you need scale, convenience across the island, or a dependable place for a league, SuperBowl is the safe call.

Location: Outlets including Jurong, Mount Faber, Toa Payoh and Siglap
Google Rating: Well reviewed across outlets
Best known for: The widest alley network, strong for corporate events and leagues

Next: 3. Orchid Bowl

3. Orchid Bowl

Orchid Bowl, run by NTUC Club, is my pick for families and large bookings. Its flagship at Orchid Country Club in Yishun has around 36 lanes, among the most in Singapore, so it handles big group events and busy weekends without the long waits you get at smaller alleys. There is another outlet at Downtown East, handy if you are already out that way.

It is family-friendly, with bumper lanes for kids, and NTUC members get a good discount on already-fair public rates. For a north-side family outing or a large party that needs plenty of lanes, this is the practical choice.

Location: Orchid Country Club (Yishun) and Downtown East
Google Rating: Well reviewed
Best known for: Large lane count for families and big group bookings

4. Sonic Bowl

Sonic Bowl is SAFRA's own bowling brand, and my pick for budget-friendly cosmic bowling away from Orchard prices. Its outlets at SAFRA Punggol, Yishun, Choa Chu Kang and Our Tampines Hub run glow-in-the-dark Cosmic Bowl sessions on Saturdays and the eve of public holidays, giving you the neon experience for a lot less than the town venues.

Public can walk in and pay public rates, with SAFRA members getting a discount, and the alleys are cashless. For a heartland group who want the cosmic vibe without the premium, or just a solid casual game, Sonic Bowl is great value. Do not confuse it with SuperBowl or Orchid Bowl; the SAFRA alleys run under this name now.

5. StarBowl at HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok

StarBowl at HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok is the value champion, and my pick if the cheapest possible game is the goal. Games start from around S$2.20 for members and students at off-peak times, and around S$2.80 for the public, which is about as low as bowling gets in Singapore. It is a proper, well-kept alley, not a stripped-back one.

It is family-friendly with no-gutter lanes for young children, and it stays open late on weekends. Anyone can walk in and pay the public rate, so you do not need to be a member to enjoy it. For students, families and anyone watching the budget, this is the one.

Location: HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok, 2 Bukit Batok West Avenue 7, #03-01
Google Rating: Well reviewed
Best known for: The cheapest games in Singapore, from around S$2.20

6. Westwood Bowl

Westwood Bowl, run by the Civil Service Club in Bukit Batok, is another excellent value pick, especially for families in the west. It has 24 lanes, keeps prices low from around S$3.60 a game at weekday off-peak, and is set up for kids with bumper lanes and lighter balls. It is an unpretentious, well-run alley focused on value rather than frills.

Like the other club alleys, it is open to the public, with CSC members paying less. If you are in the west and want an affordable, family-friendly game without heading into town, Westwood is a reliable choice.

7. Resort Bowl at CSC Changi

Resort Bowl at the CSC clubhouse in Changi rounds out my list as the pick for late-night sessions and east-side groups. Set in a seaside clubhouse, its 20 lanes come with modern HD scoring, and the venue stays open very late on weekends, making it a good spot when you want to bowl after everything else has closed. The relaxed resort setting is a nice change from a mall alley.

It offers open play, cross-lane and league formats, and prices are mid-range with off-peak packages that work out well for a group. For a late, laid-back game near the east coast, it is a lovely option.

Location: CSC @ Changi, 2 Netheravon Road

Best known for: Seaside setting and late-night bowling on the east side

How much does bowling cost in Singapore?

Bowling is priced per game per person, with shoe rental usually on top. The range is wide depending on whether you go for a club alley or a cosmic venue. As a rough guide for 2026:

TypeTypical price per game
Club alley, member or student off-peakFrom about S$2.20 to S$3.80
Club alley, public rateAbout S$5.50 to S$7
Cosmic or premium (K Bowling)From about S$11
Shoe rentalAbout S$1 to S$2

Weekday daytime is off-peak and cheapest; weekends, evenings and the eve of public holidays are peak. A membership with SAFRA, HomeTeamNS, CSC or NTUC unlocks the lowest rates, but you can always walk in and pay the public price. Check the current rate card on the venue's own site, as some are updated each year.

How I put this list together

These are my own picks, not a paid directory. I judged the alleys on purpose and atmosphere, price per game, lane count and capacity, public access versus membership, and how consistently each is reviewed. I have deliberately spread the list from a premium cosmic night out to the cheapest club games, so there is a sensible option whatever your budget and plan.

Prices and details are checked at the time of writing, and I revisit this guide as alleys open, close and update their rates. Worth noting: a few older alleys have shut, including Gallop Bowl at Turf City, so I have listed only venues confirmed to be operating. Always confirm the current rate directly with the alley before you go.

Need a website for your bowling or entertainment business

When someone is planning an outing or a party, they search first, and the venue that shows up with clear prices, lanes and easy booking wins the group. Those are high-intent local searches, and a lot of entertainment businesses lose them to a slow or confusing website.

I design and build fast, search-optimised websites for Singapore leisure and entertainment businesses, with the local SEO and clear booking-focused pages that turn searches into bookings. If your website is not bringing in enquiries, that is often the cheapest growth you can buy.

The best bowling in Singapore comes down to whether you want the night out or the value. K Bowling Club is my pick for a cosmic evening with a bar, SuperBowl is the one for big groups and corporate events, and for the cheapest games, StarBowl and Westwood Bowl are hard to beat. Remember you can walk into the club alleys without a membership.

Go off-peak for the best prices, book ahead for larger groups, and factor in shoe rental. This is part of my Terris Recommends Entertainment series, alongside my guide to the best indoor activities in Singapore.
