Finding the right party venue in Singapore is the decision the rest of a celebration hangs on, so it is worth getting right. I have booked plenty of them, for birthdays, hen parties and company celebrations, and the venues split cleanly into three pricing models. Once you understand those, comparing options becomes simple instead of overwhelming.

This guide is the hub of my Terris Recommends Celebrations series. Below I share my pick of versatile party spaces that work for almost any celebration, then point you to my detailed guides by occasion, whether that is an adult birthday, a kids party or a bachelorette, and by vendor, from photo booths to balloon decoration and cakes.

My focus here is private, social celebrations rather than corporate functions. If you are planning a company event, my guide to event venues in Singapore is the better starting point.

01

What makes a good party venue

Whatever the occasion, the same handful of things decide whether a venue works and what it really costs.

  • The pricing model. Hourly BYO party rooms are cheapest if your group drinks, package spaces give a fixed block, and restaurants or rooftops charge a minimum spend with no rental fee but their own food and drink prices. Pick the model that fits your group first.
  • Corkage and BYO. A party room with no corkage is the single biggest way to keep costs down, because you bring your own drinks at retail prices. Always ask the policy before comparing headline rates.
  • Hidden fees. Look past the base rate for cleaning fees, security deposits, GST and a 10 percent service charge, and minimum-spend top-ups. These are where budgets quietly blow out.
  • Capacity and vibe. Match the space to your headcount and the mood you want, from a cosy loft to a rooftop bar. A room that is too big feels flat, and one too small is miserable.
  • What is included. Karaoke, a projector, games, sound, and whether you can decorate or bring a cake. The extras that come free at a good party room cost real money to add elsewhere.

One tip that applies to every celebration: get an itemised, all-in quote in writing. A venue that gives you a clean total is usually the one that will not surprise you on the day.

How much does a party venue cost in Singapore?

Cost tracks the model, so compare like with like. These are the going rates I see in 2026.

Venue typeTypical costGood to know
Hourly party room (BYO)From around S$59 per hourCheapest for drinkers, watch cleaning fee and deposit
Function-space packageAround S$688 to S$1,300 per blockFixed hours, sometimes some catering
Restaurant private roomMinimum spend from around S$888No rental fee, their food and drink only
Rooftop bar buyoutMinimum spend from around S$2,000Skyline setting, set menus
Kids party packageFrom around S$599All-in with food, host and decor

The cheapest headline rate is rarely the cheapest party once drinks and fees are counted. Price the whole thing, including drinks and every fee, before you decide.

1. All In One (BGL)

All In One by BGL near Lavender is my value all-rounder for almost any celebration. The party rooms run on a flat hourly rate with no corkage on your own food and drinks, which is the biggest single cost saver, and they come loaded with activities like a golf simulator, karaoke, pool and mahjong.

The Loft holds up to 40 with smaller rooms for intimate groups, so it flexes from a low-key gathering to a proper party. For a fuss-free celebration that will not blow the budget, it is where I would start.

2. SOCIOQ

SOCIOQ is my pick when you want zero surprises on the bill. Their party lounges use a clear hourly rate with a single flat cleaning fee, no GST and no service charge, and you bring your own food and drinks with no corkage. That kind of pricing honesty is rare.

They run several outlets in different sizes, from rooms for 30 up to spaces for around 100, each with karaoke, darts and a projector. For a straightforward, budget-clear celebration, they are an easy recommendation.

3. Terra Loft

Terra Loft in Joo Chiat is my pick when the space itself needs to look good. It is a genuinely stylish industrial-chic loft with a full bar counter, a pool table, karaoke and a big screen, and it photographs beautifully, which matters more than people admit for a party.

You can bring your own caterer and vendors at no extra cost, and it is pet-friendly with shower facilities, so it suits everything from a chilled gathering to a hen party. For a design-led celebration, it is my favourite space here.

4. Our Little Space

Our Little Space in Geylang East is the pick for a group that wants things to do. It has the deepest amenity list I found, a pool table, automatic mahjong, karaoke, foosball, air hockey and claw machines, and it holds around 60 people.

It is also one of the best-reviewed party spaces in Singapore, with a five-star record across many reviews. There is no standalone website, so book through its listing, but the reputation is well earned.

Website: Book via Tagvenue
Location: 116 Changi Road, Geylang East
Google Rating: 5.0 stars across a large number of reviews
Best known for: The widest range of in-room activities

5. HERE @ Farrer Park

HERE is my pick for a bright, photogenic celebration. It is an indoor glasshouse cafe space with feature walls and customisable mood lighting, holding up to around 70 seated or 99 standing, which makes it one of the more Instagrammable options for a daytime or early-evening party.

It runs on a package and minimum-spend model with karaoke and a pool table included. For a stylish gathering that leans photogenic rather than late-night, it is a strong choice.

6. The Mind Cafe

The Mind Cafe at Prinsep Street is my pick for a games-led celebration. It is Singapore's largest board-game cafe, with more than 800 games, and its party packages come with a dedicated Games Emcee who runs the programme, plus food, drinks and a photo-booth corner.

It scales from a small group to a big one, and the hosted format means nobody has to organise the entertainment. It also features in my guide to the best board game cafes in Singapore.

7. Moon Rooftop Bar

Moon is my pick for a rooftop drinks celebration in the CBD. Perched atop Hub Synergy Point in Tanjong Pagar, it offers private hire with a skyline view, holding up to around 98 seated or 151 standing, on a food-and-beverage minimum spend from around S$2,000.

Because it is a full bar with set-menu service, you skip the catering logistics and just show up. For a grown-up celebration that is more cocktails than games, it is a great shout.

8. Emint

Emint at the MINT Museum of Toys rounds out my picks as the venue with a built-in theme. Its event spaces sit among vintage toy displays, so each floor has character before you hang a single decoration, and there is a rooftop option with a skyline view.

Prices are quoted inclusive of service charge and GST, and the museum backdrop makes for a memorable, only-in-Singapore celebration. For something different, it stands out.

Party venues by occasion

The best venue depends on what you are celebrating, so I have written a detailed guide for each. Start with the one that fits your event.

More occasion guides are joining this series, including bachelor parties, baby showers, 21st birthdays and chalets, so check back as the collection grows.

Party vendors you will also need

A venue is only half a party. These are my guides to the vendors that fill it out, so you can book the whole celebration from one place.

  • Photo booth rental. Instant-print, 360 video and AI booths compared, with real prices.
  • Balloon decoration. Organic garlands, arches and backdrops, and what setup should cost.
  • Customised cakes. Fondant, fresh-cream and Korean-minimalist styles, plus halal-certified bakers.

Guides to yacht charters, private chefs, mobile bars and grazing tables are on the way as this series expands.

How I put this list together

I chose versatile venues that work across different celebrations, weighing the pricing model and real all-in cost, capacity and vibe, what is included, and the strength of genuine customer reviews. I deliberately spread the picks across BYO party rooms, function spaces and rooftops so there is a fit for most budgets and moods.

Details and prices are checked when I publish and revisited as things change. For occasion-specific picks, follow the guides linked above, and always confirm your itemised total and the corkage policy with the venue before you book.

15

What is the best party venue in Singapore?

There is no single best party venue, because it depends on the occasion, group size and budget. For a value adult celebration where people will drink, a BYO party room like BGL or SOCIOQ is hard to beat. For a stylish party, Terra Loft is my favourite loft, and for a rooftop drinks night, Moon delivers the skyline. For a kids party, an all-in indoor playground is usually the least stressful choice. Match the pricing model to your group first, then pick within it.

Next: How much does it cost to rent a party venue in Singapore?
16

How much does it cost to rent a party venue in Singapore?

Hourly party rooms start from around S$59 per hour, function-space packages run roughly S$688 to S$1,300 for a block, and restaurant or rooftop private hire uses a minimum spend from around S$888 to S$2,000 or more. Kids party packages start from about S$599 all-in. The real cost depends on the model and your drinks bill, so add everything up, including cleaning fees, deposits and service charge, before comparing venues.

Next: How far in advance should I book a party venue in Singapore?
17

How far in advance should I book a party venue in Singapore?

Book popular weekend slots three to six weeks ahead, especially around year-end when demand peaks. Smaller weekday bookings can often be arranged one to two weeks out. Booking earlier gives you the pick of dates and rooms, and time to confirm the itemised cost and any catering or decoration access you need.

The best party venue in Singapore is the one whose pricing model fits your celebration, so start there rather than with the photos. BGL and SOCIOQ are my value picks, Terra Loft the stylish loft, and Moon the rooftop choice, and every one of them rewards pricing the whole thing, drinks and fees included, before you commit.

Once the venue is sorted, use the occasion and vendor guides above to build out the rest of the party, from the cake to the photo booth. That is the whole point of this series: one place to plan a celebration properly.
