13 Best H2 Math Tuition Centres in Singapore (November 2026)
H2 math tuition in Singapore: 13 JC maths centres and tutors compared on fees, class size and results, plus the 9758 exam, H1 vs H2 and when to start.
1 MuscleMath Best for small JC classes with a year-by-year track record
Why it's No. 1 This guide is part of Terris Recommends, my researched, hands-on picks of the best local businesses and services in Singapore. Every recommendation is researched and ranked by me.
See all recommendationsH2 Maths is the JC subject Singapore parents look for tuition in most, by a distance. The jump from O-Level A-Math is big, the pace is fast, and the grade feeds straight into the University Admission Score. So it's worth choosing the class carefully rather than taking whichever centre has a slot.
I compared 13 JC math tuition options in Singapore on what I could check on their own sites: who teaches, how big the class is, what it costs for 2026 or 2027, and which results they publish, with the year. They range from one-teacher centres to chains with 14 branches, and I've said who each one suits.
This guide is for JC students. If your child is still in secondary school, my guide to math tuition in Singapore covers O-Level and SEC maths. For IB Maths, see my IB tuition guide. And for JC GP, Economics and the sciences, start with my roundup of tuition centres in Singapore.
Most centres give you one flattering number. Tan's profile gives one for most years since 2017: 78% of his cohort scored a distinction in 2019 and 2021, 72% in 2022 and 2023, and 93% to 97% improved by at least four grades in those years. For 2024 it says 94% of H2 Maths students scored a distinction. It's self-reported and may cover only his classes, but a run of dated figures that dips in some years is easier to believe than one big round number.
Fees are charged per two-hour lesson. The 2026 rates page shows JC1 at S$95 to S$105 and JC2 at S$105 to S$115 a lesson paid monthly, a little less paid by the term, with no GST and no deposit, only a one-time registration fee. The page has two rate tables that don't agree, so get the 2027 fee in writing. Fou's NTU maths degree specialised in statistics, which helps with Paper 2's 60 marks of it.

Weekly two-hour lessons come with topical notes and graded practice written to the 9758 syllabus, full video solutions to tutorial questions, past papers with answers, a Telegram channel for questions between lessons and free one-to-one consultations. A missed lesson stays on its portal for seven days. Indigo says it finishes the syllabus by June of JC2, which leaves the rest of the year for prelims and revision.
On results, Indigo says its H2 Maths students scored a 73.5% distinction rate in 2025, against a "national average of 52%". I couldn't find that national figure on any SEAB or MOE page. Fees are on enquiry. Registration is S$75 and the deposit S$100, both plus GST. There's no WhatsApp number, so enquire by phone or email.

It started in Bishan in 2012 and now runs from North Bridge Centre in Bugis. Each class is hybrid: come in, or join live on Zoom, and every lesson is recorded, which helps when a CCA clashes. Lim holds a master's in mathematics for educators from NIE and an engineering degree from NTU. The centre says three in four of its students score an A, without giving a year.
It publishes 2027 fees per two-hour lesson. JC1 is S$119 paid monthly, S$115 quarterly or S$95 paid for the year, and JC2 is S$129, S$125 or S$105. Your rate is fixed from the day you join, so a JC1 student on the annual plan stays at S$95 through JC2. There's no deposit, registration or admin fee, only a material fee.

What you get in return is a clear price and a dated result. JC fees for 2026 are S$420 a month for one subject, S$760 for two and S$1,080 for three, before GST, with a S$400 deposit per subject and no registration or material fee. For its 2024 JC A-Level batch it says 90.3% of students scored an A or B. That counts B grades too, so it isn't a distinction rate. Its H2 Maths teachers include Lim Chuan Li, teaching since 2005 and a winner of MOE's Outstanding Youth in Education Award, and Kevin Lee, an NUS applied maths graduate.
There are 14 centres and free trials at every one. A student who needs to be noticed will do better in one of the smaller classes here.

His own maths record is strong: an A for A-Level Maths and Further Maths, then first-class honours in mechanical engineering at NTU, finished in three and a half years, and a master's. He trains students on the harder RI, HCI and NYJC papers, and his site posts dated case studies, such as a Dunman High student who went from 52% (a D) to an A at the 2025 A-Levels. Those are individual stories, not a rate.
Group fees are S$480 for four two-hour lessons. The 2027 JC1 class is on Sundays from 3pm to 5pm. He takes WhatsApp messages only, not calls. He reckons a student who starts soon after the JC1 mid-years or promos, even at a D, still has a good shot at an A. Places are limited, so ask early.

Tim Gan is a former MOE teacher with 18 years of teaching. He has an NUS engineering degree, a PGDE in maths from NIE and a master's in mathematics for educators, and he writes assessment books, including an H2 Mathematics Essentials guide with video explanations. There are three centres: Jurong East, King's Arcade on Bukit Timah Road, and Tampines.
H2 group classes take up to 15 students and start from S$100 a lesson. H1 Maths is taught one-to-one, at a centre or online, from S$85 an hour. GST isn't mentioned. It doesn't publish results beyond "over 1,000" students reaching their A-Level and O-Level goals, so a trial is how you'll judge the teaching.

Which teacher your child gets depends on the slot, so ask before you book. The A-Level price is S$616 a month for four two-hour lessons, or S$1,848 for a 13-lesson term in which one lesson is free. Registration is S$20 and the refundable deposit S$150, and a second subject is 5% off.
Centres are at Bugis, Bukit Timah and Braddell, with online classes too. It doesn't publish H2 Maths results and says plainly that it doesn't guarantee grades. It teaches the H2 sciences and GP too.

The centre has run since 2001 and says it has taught more than 2,000 students. It says every tutor is either an NUS maths graduate or an MOE-trained teacher, and co-founder Jolyn Ang is ex-MOE. JC classes run on site or live on Zoom.
Fees aren't published, so ask on WhatsApp. Instead of a distinction rate it shows dated student reviews from 2019 to 2025. I'd book a trial in JC1 and ask how it teaches the statistics half of Paper 2, since that's 60 marks.

The fees are on the site. For 2026 a group class is S$380 a month for H2 Maths and S$540 for Further Maths, with half off a second class or a sibling. One-to-one is S$140 to S$150 an hour for H2 Maths and S$150 to S$160 for Further Maths, and a student who starts one-to-one in JC1 keeps the JC1 rate. Every class can be joined online.
He says 70% of his students reach an A, and that three have had Oxford or Cambridge offers in the past six years; neither figure comes with a year. A new JC1 Further Maths class starts on 15 November 2026, and some JC slots show one seat left.

It costs S$350 for four two-hour sessions, with notes, mock exams, lesson recordings and one-to-one consultations included. JC1 slots are Wednesday at 9pm and Thursday at 6.30pm, and JC2 is Monday at 9pm, which suits a student who gets home late from CCA. For the 2025 A-Levels it says 90% of its H2 Maths students scored an A or B.
It has run since 2008 and teaches O-Level maths too. Class size isn't published, so ask how many are in the slot you want. Online only works if your child keeps the camera on and asks questions, so use the trial to check.

A 13-lesson term of two-hour H2 classes costs S$1,560 in a group, which is S$60 an hour, or S$5,200 one-to-one, which is S$200 an hour. Lessons are weekly, up to twice a week near exams, at Beauty World Centre by Beauty World MRT or on Zoom.
His site says 80% of his A-Level students achieved an A or B, without a year or a count, and it shows reviews dated 2022 and 2024 that mention A grades in H2 Maths. If you want lessons built around one student, he's worth a call.

Its H2 Maths tutor, Mr Teo, has a master's in physics from Osaka University and more than ten years of teaching, both in private tuition and at an Integrated Programme school. Classes are two hours, groups usually run from 5 to 11 students, and there are centres at Toa Payoh, Our Tampines Hub and Woodlands MRT, plus online classes. A trial costs S$100 a session, before the admin fee.
It publishes no H2 Maths results. Its site wouldn't load in my screenshot tool, so there's no preview here, but it is live. My science tuition guide covers its science teaching.

Fees are for one subject as published in November 2026, for two-hour lessons. Only Zenith says its prices are before GST, so ask the rest whether 9% is added.
A student failing vectors needs something different from one stuck at a B who wants an A. Here's what I'd check before paying for a term.
- Teaching to the current paper. H2 Maths is examined on SEAB's 9758 syllabus, with a graphing calculator assumed in both papers. Ask how the centre teaches GC use and written working.
- Statistics taken seriously. Section B of Paper 2 is 60 marks of probability and statistics. Plenty of students who are fine at calculus lose their A here.
- The teacher you'll actually get. At a chain, the name on the website may not teach your child's slot. At 180, Math Distinction and Power Mathematics, one person teaches everything.
- Results with a year and a definition. "73.5% distinctions in 2025" is a result. "Excellent results" isn't. Check whether the figure counts A grades only, or A and B.
- The class size for your slot. Zenith's JC classes take up to 60, Future Academy's six.
- The full fee in writing. Registration, deposit, materials and GST. A GST-registered business has to quote you a price that includes GST.
A centre teaching 10 or more students has to be registered with MOE, and so do its tutors. You can check a centre on MOE's list of private schools. It isn't a quality rating, and it doesn't cover a private tutor with a small home group.
I started from the centres that come up when parents search for H2 math tuition and JC math tuition, then read each one's own JC Maths page, fees and tutor profiles. I kept the ones that name who teaches, publish enough to compare and offer something distinct. Where a centre publishes a result, I've quoted it with its year as self-reported.
Three I left off:
- Mavis Tutorial Centre teaches H2 Maths, but its JC page gives no fees, tutors or class sizes. It's in my tuition centres guide as a budget pick.
- PMC.SG, the group behind The Physics Cafe, says more than 80% of its JC maths students score an A, with no year, and runs no free trials.
- Odyssey Math Tuition in Eunos sells online H2 courses with a question bank, but I couldn't find its JC class fees on the page I read.
If your child is younger, my guide to math tuition for secondary students picks up from here. For the IB Diploma's Math AA and AI courses, see the best IB tuition in Singapore.
H2 Maths is the A-Level Mathematics subject with syllabus code 9758, examined in two 3-hour papers that are each marked out of 100 and worth 50% of the grade. Paper 1 is all pure mathematics. Paper 2 is 40 marks of pure maths and 60 marks of probability and statistics, according to SEAB's 2026 H2 Mathematics syllabus.
| Paper 1 | Paper 2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 3 hours | 3 hours |
| Marks | 100 (50% of the grade) | 100 (50% of the grade) |
| Content | Pure Mathematics, 10 to 12 questions | Section A: Pure Mathematics, 40 marks, 4 to 5 questions. Section B: Probability and Statistics, 60 marks, 6 to 8 questions |
| Application question | One, at least 12 marks | One in Section B, at least 12 marks |
The pure maths covers functions and graphs, sequences and series, vectors, complex numbers and calculus, including Maclaurin series and differential equations. The statistics covers probability, discrete random variables, the normal distribution, sampling, hypothesis testing, and correlation and linear regression. Every question must be answered, and each paper has one question of at least 12 marks that applies maths to a real context, such as physics or market research.
An approved graphing calculator is expected, answers taken straight from it are accepted unless the question says otherwise, and a wrong answer with no working gets nothing. A list of formulae is provided. In 2026, SEAB's timetable puts Paper 1 on 3 November and Paper 2 on 6 November, both from 8am to 11am. SEAB expects to release A-Level results between 19 and 23 February 2027.
H1 Maths (syllabus 8865) is a lighter course for students heading into business or the social sciences, H2 Maths (9758) is the full course for maths, science and engineering, and H2 Further Maths (9649) is a second maths subject taken alongside H2 Maths.
| H1 Maths (8865) | H2 Maths (9758) | H2 Further Maths (9649) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Papers | One 3-hour paper, 100 marks | Two 3-hour papers, 100 marks each | Two 3-hour papers, 100 marks each |
| Split | 40 pure maths, 60 statistics | Paper 1 pure; Paper 2 40 pure, 60 statistics | Paper 1 pure; Paper 2 50 pure, 50 statistics |
| Aimed at | Business and social sciences | Maths, sciences, engineering | Students specialising in maths, science or engineering |
| Assumes | O-Level Maths; suits students without A-Math | O-Level Maths plus A-Math content | All of H2 Maths; taken with it as double maths |
SEAB says H1 Maths is particularly suited to students who didn't take O-Level Additional Maths, because it teaches the algebra and calculus they missed. H2 Further Maths adds topics such as polar coordinates, matrices and linear spaces, numerical methods and non-parametric tests.
Why the grade matters: the University Admission Score is now out of 70 points, worked out from three H2 subjects and H1 General Paper, and a fourth content subject counts only if it raises the score, MOE explained in February 2026. If your child takes H2 Maths, it's almost certainly in that count. Power Mathematics is the one centre here running Further Maths classes, and Tim Gan Math, Eipimath and Club Math teach H1.
H2 math tuition in Singapore costs about S$250 to S$620 a month for a group class of four two-hour lessons in 2026-27, or roughly S$30 to S$80 an hour. One-to-one H2 Maths costs about S$140 to S$200 an hour.
| Centre | Four 2-hour group lessons |
|---|---|
| Club Math | S$250 |
| The Annexe Project (online) | S$350 |
| Power Mathematics | S$380 (S$540 for Further Maths) |
| MuscleMath | S$380 to S$460 |
| 180 H2 Math Centre | S$380 to S$516 (2027) |
| Tim Gan Math | From S$400 |
| The Science Academy | S$400 |
| Zenith Education Studio | S$457.80 with 9% GST |
| Eipimath | About S$480 (S$1,560 a 13-lesson term) |
| Math Distinction | S$480 |
| Future Academy | S$616 |
Indigo and Math Academy quote on enquiry. One-to-one rates I found: Power Mathematics S$140 to S$160 an hour, 180 H2 Math Centre S$790 for two two-hour lessons, and Eipimath S$200 an hour. Watch the extras: Zenith takes a S$400 deposit per subject, while 180 and MuscleMath charge none.
The best time to start H2 math tuition is early in JC1, before the promotional exams at the end of the year decide whether your child moves up to JC2. Starting then gives a full year to fix weak topics before the A-Level H2 Maths papers, which in 2026 fall on 3 and 6 November.
In practice most families start looking after the J1 mid-years or the promos, and that still works: Mr Goh at Math Distinction reckons a student who starts then, even at a D, has a real chance of an A. Leave it until after the J2 prelims and a tutor has weeks, not months.
There's a money reason to start early too. 180 H2 Math Centre fixes your fee from the day you join, so a JC1 student on its annual plan pays S$95 a lesson through JC2 instead of S$105 or more, and Power Mathematics keeps one-to-one students on the JC1 rate. Several centres already have 2027 timetables up, and Power Mathematics starts a new JC1 Further Maths class on 15 November 2026.
A small group class is the better fit for most H2 Maths students, because it costs far less than private tuition and still gives a teacher time to check working. A private tutor makes sense when a student is far behind, has a few specific gaps, or needs to move at a different speed from any class.
A two-hour group lesson on this list costs S$60 to S$155, while one-to-one runs S$140 to S$200 an hour. Between the two sit the small-group teachers, like Math Distinction's home class or Power Mathematics, where one experienced tutor teaches a handful of students. Eipimath and Power Mathematics offer both, so a student can move from a group to one-to-one without changing centre.
Judge a tuition centre's distinction rate by asking four things: which year it's from, which grades count (A only, or A and B), whose students it covers, and how many students that is. A dated A-only figure for a named cohort means far more than an undated "90% success rate".
Indigo's 73.5% is for 2025 and counts distinctions. Zenith's 90.3% is for 2024 but counts A or B, a different measure. 180's "three in four" and PMC.SG's "more than 80%" come without a year. Watch for two claims mixed into one, like "a distinction or an improvement of four grades".
Be wary of "national average" comparisons. MOE's release of the 2025 results gives cohort figures, such as 10,393 of 10,977 candidates (94.7%) passing at least three H2 subjects plus General Paper, but no grade breakdown for H2 Maths. I couldn't find an official national distinction rate for the subject, so a centre comparing itself with one is quoting a number you can't check.
JC students and their parents compare maths tutors on their phones, often the week promo results come out, and skip any centre that looks dated or hides its fees. A tutor with excellent results can lose students every week to a site that doesn't say who teaches or what it costs.
My guide to website design and SEO for tuition centres covers what moves enrolment. If your centre's site isn't pulling its weight, get in touch for a free consultation or see how I build websites for tuition centres.
The best H2 math tuition is the class that fixes your child's actual problem. For a small class with a long record, start with MuscleMath. For a complete programme, Indigo. For one teacher who designs every lesson, 180 H2 Math Centre or Math Distinction. For Further Maths, Power Mathematics, and for the lowest fee, Club Math or The Annexe Project online.
Book two trials in JC1, ask each centre the four questions about its results, and watch whether your child comes home understanding something they didn't before. For the rest of the JC subjects, see my guides to tuition centres in Singapore and science tuition.
