10 Best Math Tuition Centres in Singapore (November 2026)
Math tuition in Singapore for E Maths and A Maths: 10 centres compared on fees, class size and results, plus G2 vs G3 maths and the 2027 SEC exam.
1 Math Academy Best for small A Maths and E Maths classes with published 2027 fees
Why it's No. 1 This guide is part of Terris Recommends, my researched, hands-on picks of the best local businesses and services in Singapore. Every recommendation is researched and ranked by me.
See all recommendationsMath tuition in Singapore is mostly a secondary school question. Primary maths points at one exam, the PSLE. Secondary maths splits into E Maths and A Maths, runs at three subject levels under Full Subject-Based Banding, and from 2027 ends in a new national exam, the SEC, instead of the O-Levels. That's a lot to get right when you're choosing a class, so this guide is built around secondary maths.
I compared 10 maths tuition centres on what you can check for yourself: the levels each one teaches, how many students sit in a class, what it charges for 2026 or 2027, and which results it publishes with a year attached. Six specialise in maths, or in maths and science. Four are big multi-subject chains whose secondary maths classes are worth a look because there's probably one near you and their fees are on the table.
If your child is still in primary school, my PSLE maths tuition guide covers the new 2026 PSLE format and 12 centres built for it. For JC, go to my H2 maths tuition guide. And if maths is one of several weak subjects, start with my roundup of tuition centres in Singapore.
| Centre | Best for | Levels | Class size | Fees (one subject) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Math Academy | Small A Maths and E Maths classes taught by the founders | Sec 1 to JC2 (G3 at secondary) | 7 (E Maths), 9 (A Maths) | S$320 to S$360 per 4 lessons, no GST (2027) |
| SGPCM | A Maths with former MOE teachers | Sec 1 to JC2 (G3 and IP) | Not published | S$80 per 2-hour Sec 3 or 4 lesson before GST (2026) |
| The Math Lab | Weaker students who need close attention | Primary to JC | 3 to 4 on average | S$420 a month (2026) |
| Math Lobby | G2 maths | Sec 1 to 5 (G2 and G3) | 2 to 6 (G2), up to 12 (G3) | On enquiry |
| The Maths Café | IP and G3 students in a large, structured programme | Sec 1 to 4, IP | Not published | On enquiry; no free trial |
| Zenith Education Studio | Exam technique in Sec 3 and 4, at 14 centres | P4 to JC2 | Not stated for secondary | S$340 to S$360 a month before GST (2026) |
| AGrader Learning Centre | E Maths and A Maths close to home | K1 to Sec 4 | Up to 12 | S$294.30 to S$316.10 a month incl. GST (2027) |
| EduFirst Learning Centre | G1 and G2 students in small neighbourhood classes | Nursery to Sec 5 | 4 to 8 | S$300 to S$320 a month before GST (2027) |
| Mavis Tutorial Centre | Budget A Maths at a 40-year-old chain | Preschool to JC | Not published | S$267.05 to S$348.80 a month incl. GST (2027) |
| Odyssey Math Tuition | The lowest in-person fee here, in the east | P3 to JC2 | 6 to 8 | S$280 a month (2026) |
Fees are for one secondary subject, as each centre published them in November 2026, marked "incl. GST" or "before GST" only where the centre says so. A month usually means four weekly lessons.
Maths tuition for a P5 child and for a JC2 student are different products, sold by mostly different centres. This guide covers secondary school. Here's where to look for the other levels.

Two centres below, Math Academy and SGPCM, also teach H2 Maths, which helps if you want one teacher from Sec 3 to JC2. For the JC specialists, see my JC maths tuition guide.
Its two co-founders teach the A Maths classes. Ms Jolyn Ang is a former MOE secondary maths teacher with over 20 years of experience; Mr Ian Ang has first-class honours in pure mathematics from NUS and also teaches H2, so a student can keep one teacher from Sec 3 to the A-Levels. Lessons are streamed on Zoom and recorded, and the tutor marks every worksheet.
The 2027 fees have no GST, registration or material fee: S$320 for four 1.5-hour Sec 1 or 2 lessons, S$340 for E Maths, and S$360 for four A Maths lessons of 1 hour 45 minutes (S$220 online). The catch: one centre, opposite Bukit Gombak MRT, and G3 classes only. It suits families in the west.

It teaches G3 and IP maths from Sec 1, E Maths and A Maths in Sec 3 and 4, and H2 Maths at JC, at Bishan, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, Jurong East and Parkway Centre in Marine Parade, plus online. One thing I liked: its homepage doesn't lead with a distinction rate. It says those are easy to claim and points you to reviews. Some teacher profiles do make claims, such as about 75% distinctions for one tutor's students who stayed three months or more, with no year.
Fees are per lesson, before GST: S$60 for a 1.5-hour Sec 1 or 2 lesson and S$80 for a two-hour Sec 3 or 4 lesson on its 2026 table, S$5 less online. For 2027 there's a one-time S$50 registration fee plus GST, billing every two months and no deposit. The trial is half price, not free.

It teaches maths only, from primary to JC, and has since 2002, at four branches: Bukit Timah (Queen's Road, near Farrer Road MRT), Kovan, Tiong Bahru and Bedok. It says 73% of its O-Level students scored A1 or A2 in 2025. That's the centre's own number, but it's one of the few in this guide with a year attached. It also runs week-long E Maths and A Maths revision bootcamps in the school holidays.
The fee is S$420 a month for a weekly two-hour lesson, collected every two months (2026). That's about S$52 an hour, the top of this list, and you're paying for the attention. It also offers one-to-one home tuition.

Its two founders teach. Nigel Yap leads the centre and says he has 16 years of experience teaching secondary maths; Vivienne Kai heads the G2 classes and has 12. The teaching leans on exam strategy as much as content: commonly tested question types, finishing the paper in time, and cutting careless errors. It also runs a Sec 1 head-start course and November and December crash courses for the year ahead.
There's one centre, at Sennett Residence beside Potong Pasir MRT, and live Zoom classes for everyone else. Fees aren't published, so ask on WhatsApp. It doesn't publish results figures either, only reviews, so a trial lesson is the way to judge it.

It says over 80% of its students score an A in O-Level maths each year, but gives no year or cohort, so ask about that. PMC was founded by Dave Sim, a former RJC lecturer, has run since 2009, and teaches at Bishan, Paya Lebar (SingPost Centre) and Novena (United Square), plus online.
Two things to know. It doesn't publish fees, and it has a firm no walk-in, no call, no free trial policy, so a trial is a paid lesson. PMC's registration page lists a S$109 registration fee. Get the monthly fee in writing and compare it with my table.

It's big: 14 centres on its site, from Woodlands and Jurong East to Tampines and Bukit Timah, and over 20,000 students since 2019. It publishes an A-Level result with a year (90.3% A or B for its 2024 batch) but no O-Level maths figure in the text of its secondary pages, so ask for the secondary maths results directly.
Its fees are clear and quoted before GST: S$340 a month at Sec 1 and 2 and S$360 at Sec 3 to 5 for one subject, with S$80 a month off when you add a second. There's no registration or material fee, but the deposit is a month's fee per subject. Free trials run at every centre.

Classes are capped at 12 and run two hours a week. Its EverLoop system loops back to the topics a child got wrong instead of pressing on, which suits A Maths, where a shaky grip on algebra breaks everything after it. The centre reports an 83.4% improvement rate but doesn't give a year.
The 2027 fee sheet for its Yishun centre runs from S$294.30 a month at Sec 1 to S$316.10 at Sec 4, including GST, about S$40 an hour. New secondary students start with four trial lessons for S$149 plus GST, and the S$54.50 registration fee and one month's deposit wait until the fifth lesson. Other branches may differ by a few dollars.

Lessons are 1.5 hours a week, materials and exam papers are included, and it teaches up to Sec 5, with online classes from Sec 1 to Sec 4. It doesn't publish current results, so judge it on the free trial class.
2027 fees for the first subject, before GST: S$300 a month at Sec 1 and 2 and S$320 at Sec 3 to 5. Each extra subject is S$10 less. Registration is S$50 and the deposit a month's fees.

Teaching follows the school syllabus closely, with plenty of exam technique. Most secondary lessons are 1.5 hours a week; some Sec 3 and 4 classes run two. Its 17 branches are mostly in malls such as Compass One, Bedok Mall and Jurong Point. Its homepage says 99% of its Sec 4 students qualified for JC or poly, with no year given.
The 2027 fee sheet for Ang Mo Kio runs from S$267.05 a month at Sec 1 to S$288.85 for a 1.5-hour Sec 4 class or S$348.80 for a two-hour one, including GST. More subjects bring 10% to 22% off. Class sizes and the registration fee aren't published, so ask at the branch you'd use and book the free trial with the teacher who'd take the class.

Its founder, Justin Tan, studied maths and economics at NUS and says he has 15 years of tutoring experience. He wrote its curriculum and its e-learning portal, which enrolled students get free, with recorded lessons and topical tests from Sec 1 to JC2. Classes take six to eight students.
The trade-off for the price: two of the tutors profiled on its homepage list a junior college, not a degree or teaching qualification, as their background, and the site reads more like marketing than information. It suits a family near Eunos on a budget. Ask who takes the class before you sign up.

These came close, or fit a narrower need. Each is worth a trial if it's near you.
- Tim Gan Math (timganmath.edu.sg): secondary, IP, JC and IB maths at Jurong East, Bukit Timah and Tampines, with two-hour A Maths lessons and video solutions between classes. Better known for H2 Maths; fees aren't on its class pages.
- Nanyang Education (nanyangeducation.com): 11 neighbourhood maths and science centres since 2008, with a free diagnostic trial. Fees aren't published, and its maths pages still describe Express, N(A) and N(T) streams.
- The Pique Lab (thepiquelab.com): E Maths and A Maths at Sec 3 and 4 at one campus in GR.iD on Selegie Road, S$110 a lesson including GST. It's also in my enrichment classes guide.
- Matrix Math (matrixmath.sg): best known for primary word problems, but it teaches to Sec 4 with up to eight students a class, from S$690 per subject for a 10-lesson term in 2027 (nett).
- Club Math (clubmath.sg): S$200 for four weeks of secondary maths at The Midtown in Hougang, six to a class. The cheapest group fee I found, from a small single centre.
- Overmugged (overmugged.com): known for its free O-Level notes, and running free trial lessons at seven locations in November 2026. Fees and class sizes aren't on its site.
For G3 students, the maths itself doesn't change in 2027. The SEC's G3 Mathematics and G3 Additional Mathematics papers cover the same topics, in the same format, as the 2026 O-Level papers. What changes is the certificate, the subject codes, and the fact that every subject now sits at a level: G1, G2 or G3.
Students who entered Sec 1 in 2024 are the first cohort under Full Subject-Based Banding, so if your child is in Sec 3 now, they'll sit the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) at the end of Sec 4 in 2027 and get results in January 2028 (MOE, March 2026). SEAB grades G3 from A1 to 9, as the O-Levels did, G2 from 1 to 6 and G1 from A to E.
I put SEAB's 2027 G3 syllabuses next to the 2026 O-Level ones. G3 Mathematics (K310) takes over from O-Level Maths (4052), and G3 Additional Mathematics (K341) from 4049. Apart from the names, they match: the same topics, and two papers of 2 hours 15 minutes and 90 marks each. So recent O-Level past papers are still good G3 practice. The G2 papers are shorter and worth 70 marks each.
| SEC subject (code, 2026 code) | Paper 1 | Paper 2 |
|---|---|---|
| G3 Mathematics (K310, was 4052) | About 26 short questions, 2 h 15 min, 90 marks | 9 to 10 questions, the last on a real-world problem, 2 h 15 min, 90 marks |
| G3 Additional Mathematics (K341, was 4049) | 12 to 14 questions of up to 10 marks, 2 h 15 min, 90 marks | 9 to 11 questions of up to 12 marks, 2 h 15 min, 90 marks |
| G2 Mathematics (K210, was 4045) | About 23 short questions, 2 h, 70 marks | 9 to 10 questions plus one of two optional questions, 2 h, 70 marks |
| G2 Additional Mathematics (K232, was 4051) | 13 to 15 questions, 1 h 45 min, 70 marks | 8 to 10 questions, 1 h 45 min, 70 marks |
| G1 Mathematics (K110, was 4046) | 11 to 13 short questions and 2 longer ones, 1 h 30 min, 50 marks | Same structure, 1 h 30 min, 50 marks |
A calculator from SEAB's approved list is allowed in both papers at every level, and missing working costs marks in all of them. Ask any centre whether its Sec 3 and 4 materials are labelled for the SEC and the right level. One still selling Express and N(A) classes hasn't caught up.
Every secondary student takes E Maths, which the SEC simply calls Mathematics. A Maths, Additional Mathematics, is an extra subject usually started in Sec 3, and your child needs it if H2 Maths at JC, or a science or engineering route after that, is a real possibility.
SEAB's G3 A Maths syllabus says it prepares students for A-Level H2 Mathematics and assumes everything in G3 Maths. It has three strands: algebra (quadratic functions, surds, polynomials and partial fractions, the binomial theorem, exponentials and logarithms), geometry and trigonometry, and calculus. E Maths is broader and more applied: numbers and algebra, geometry and measurement, statistics and probability, with real-world questions on interest, taxes, bills and timetables.
| E Maths | A Maths | |
|---|---|---|
| Who takes it | Every secondary student | An elective, usually from Sec 3 |
| SEC name | Mathematics (G1, G2 or G3) | Additional Mathematics (G2 or G3) |
| Style | Applied, with a real-world question at the end of Paper 2 | Abstract algebra and calculus |
| Leads to | Every post-secondary route | H2 Maths, sciences and engineering |
Here's how I'd decide. If your child is comfortable with Sec 2 algebra and wants the JC science route, take A Maths and get help early in Sec 3, because that's where grades tend to drop. Math Academy puts it plainly: for many Sec 3 students, A Maths is where grades fall one or two bands after a confident lower secondary. If algebra is already a struggle, a strong E Maths grade is worth more than two weak maths grades, so talk to the school before committing.
Since the 2024 Sec 1 intake, schools no longer stream students into Express, N(A) and N(T). Each subject is taken at G1, G2 or G3, mapped from those old standards, and classes are grouped by subject level, so a child can take maths at a different level from the rest of their timetable.
Where a child starts depends on the PSLE. A PSLE Score of 4 to 20 means G3 for most subjects, 21 to 22 G2 or G3, 23 to 24 G2, and 25 G1 or G2, according to MOE's Full SBB guide. On top of that, a child posted at G2 can take G3 Maths from Sec 1 with AL5 or better in PSLE Maths, and a child posted at G1 can take G2 or G3 Maths with the same AL5. Schools can also move students up later, based on how they do in secondary school.
For tuition, the level matters more than the year. G2 Maths has its own syllabus and a shorter paper, graded 1 to 6, so a G2 student in a G3 tuition class spends time on topics they won't be tested on. Math Lobby runs separate G2 and G3 classes, EduFirst lists G1 to G3 at lower secondary, and Math Academy and SGPCM teach G3. If your child is trying to move up, tell the centre, because they'll need G3 pace.
Start when there's a specific gap, and the two usual moments are early Sec 1 and the start of Sec 3. Sec 1 is where algebra arrives properly, and a child who never gets comfortable with it carries the problem for four years. Sec 3 is when A Maths begins, and it moves fast.
Starting in Sec 4 is late, but not hopeless, especially for E Maths. The November and December holidays are the cheapest time to catch up: Math Lobby, The Math Lab and Tim Gan Math all run holiday programmes, and for students sitting the first SEC in 2027 this is the last long break before it.
And don't start just because classmates have. If your child is coping in Sec 1 or 2, a term of steady homework does more than a weekly class.
The right maths tuition centre depends on your child's level and the problem you're trying to fix, so these are the things I weigh.
- The right level. G1, G2 or G3, E Maths or A Maths, IP or SEC. Ask which class your child would actually sit in, not just which year, and check it against the subject levels in MOE's Full SBB guide.
- Teaching to the 2027 syllabus. SEAB has published the SEC syllabuses for 2027. A centre that knows its Sec 3 class is preparing for K310 or K341 has done its homework.
- Who teaches. Ask who takes the class, not who founded the centre. Former MOE teachers and students fresh out of JC cost different amounts for a reason.
- Results with a year. "73% A1 or A2 at the 2025 O-Levels" is a result. "Over 80% score A" with no year is a slogan.
- Class size. Maths clicks when a tutor watches a student work. The Math Lab averages three or four, Math Academy caps at seven or nine, AGrader at 12.
- Fees in writing. Monthly fee, registration, deposit and whether GST is included. Several centres quote before GST and several after.
One more check. A centre teaching 10 or more students must be registered with MOE, and so must its teachers. Look it up on MOE's list of private schools and ask to see the certificate.
I started from the 100 pages Google Singapore shows for math tuition Singapore, which are mostly tuition agencies, home-tutor marketplaces and single centres, and from the centres parents name most often for secondary maths. I kept the ones with a real address, a secondary maths programme and enough published to compare: fees, class sizes, branches and teachers.
Every fee, branch list and class size here comes from the centre's own website in November 2026. I quote results only as each centre states them, with the year when it gives one. I left out JC-only specialists, which my H2 maths guide covers, and centres whose sites offered little beyond undated claims. I haven't printed Google ratings; read a centre's reviews yourself, and weigh the recent ones.
Math tuition in Singapore costs about S$270 to S$420 a month for a secondary group class of four weekly lessons in 2026 and 2027, from the centres' own fee pages. Mavis starts at S$267.05 at Sec 1 including GST, Odyssey charges S$280, AGrader S$294.30 to S$316.10, Math Academy S$320 to S$360 and The Math Lab S$420.
| Level | Group class, one subject, a month | Home tutor, an hour |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | About S$135 to S$685 (see my PSLE maths guide) | S$25 to S$90 |
| Lower secondary | About S$267 to S$420 | S$30 to S$105 |
| Upper secondary | About S$278 to S$420 | S$30 to S$105 |
| JC | About S$300 to S$440 (see my H2 maths guide) | S$50 to S$150 |
Per hour, Odyssey works out at about S$35, AGrader and SGPCM about S$40, Math Academy S$51 to S$57 and The Math Lab S$52. Online is cheaper: Math Academy's A Maths class is S$220 per four lessons on Zoom. Home tutor rates are the ranges tuition agencies publish for 2026, from part-time tutors to former MOE teachers. Budget for registration and a deposit on the first invoice.
A group class is better value for most secondary students, and a home tutor is better for a child who needs one-to-one attention or won't speak up. A small group class on this list costs about S$35 to S$57 an hour. A home tutor for secondary maths charges about S$30 to S$50 an hour as a part-time tutor, S$45 to S$70 full-time and S$60 to S$105 as a current or former MOE teacher.
The Math Lab's tables of three or four sit between the two. And MOE registration covers centres and their teachers, not home tutors or agencies, so check a home tutor's qualifications yourself.
Yes. A child posted at G2 can take G3 Maths from Sec 1 with AL5 or better in PSLE Maths, and schools can move students up later based on their secondary school results (MOE). Ask the maths teacher what the school expects, and pick tuition at G3 pace.
No. A Maths is an elective, and under Full SBB students can take it at a subject level suited to their strengths, G2 or G3, with the school guiding the choice (MOE). E Maths, which the SEC calls Mathematics, is the one every student takes.
If H2 Maths at JC is a possibility, A Maths is the subject that prepares for it. Ask the school which levels it offers A Maths at before your child chooses.
Yes. In the 2027 SEC, an approved calculator is allowed in both papers of every maths subject, at G1, G2 and G3, according to SEAB's syllabuses. Only models on SEAB's approved calculator list are allowed, so check your child's model number against it well before the exam.
Yes. Any tuition or enrichment centre teaching 10 or more students must be registered with MOE under the Education Act, and so must every tutor who teaches there. Search for the centre by name on MOE's list of private schools.
Registration covers the premises, the courses and the teachers. It isn't a quality rating, and it doesn't cover home tutors or tutor agencies.
Maths tuition is worth it in secondary school when it fixes a specific problem: algebra that never clicked in Sec 1, the jump to A Maths in Sec 3, or exam technique in Sec 4. It's worth much less as insurance for a child who is already coping. Families in Singapore spent about S$1.8 billion on private tuition in 2023, or S$104.80 a month per household, according to the Department of Statistics' Household Expenditure Survey.
My rule of thumb: give a centre one full term, then judge it on two things, your child's school maths results and whether they seem less anxious about the subject. If neither has moved, change something.
Parents pick a maths centre late at night, comparing three or four on their phone in one sitting. They skip the one with no fees, a dated timetable or a site that takes ten seconds to load, and a centre with excellent teachers can lose enquiries every week that way.
My guide to website design and SEO for tuition centres covers what moves enrolment. If your centre's site isn't pulling its weight, get in touch for a free consultation or see how I build websites for tuition centres.
The best math tuition in Singapore is the class that matches your child's level and problem. For A Maths in a small class, start with Math Academy or SGPCM. For G2 maths, Math Lobby. For a student who has fallen behind, The Math Lab. For a class near home at a fair price, AGrader, EduFirst, Mavis or Zenith, and for the lowest fee in the east, Odyssey.
Shortlist two or three, book trials, and ask which level and which teacher your child would get. For other levels and subjects, see my guides to PSLE maths tuition, H2 maths tuition, science tuition and tuition centres in Singapore.
