What wasn't working, and how I fixed it
Before
Cornerstone was up against bigger firms with polished sites
A buyer's first glance decides whether the enquiry gets sent at all. Twenty years and a Bukit Batok workshop count for little if the firm looks small.
What I did
I opened it on an engineering drawing
Gears and CAD linework run across a dark blue ground behind the headline, Your Trusted Partner For High Quality Machinery parts Design and Manufacturing. Our Services and Contact Us sit under it, and the email and phone number run along a strip above the menu.
Before
Vague words get a supplier filtered out
An engineer with a jig, a fixture or a retrofit to source is matching that job against suppliers. Engineering solutions matches nothing.
What I did
I named the five things they're actually hired for
The services open on machine customisation and automation, mechanical design customisation, and jigs and fixtures, then machine parts and metal fabrication, and engineering supplies. Each card has a photo and a Learn More link to its own page, and the same five are in the menu.
Before
Cornerstone's real advantage was nowhere a buyer could see it
They buy materials from local suppliers, so turnaround is fast and prices hold. It's a real edge over competitors quoting overseas lead times, and buyers had no way of knowing.
What I did
I gave local sourcing a section of its own
Local Procurement for Quality and Speed says why they buy locally: quality parts at affordable prices, and fast turnaround. For a buyer with a deadline, that's the reason to call.
Before
Doing mechanical, electrical and programming can look unfocused
On a complex retrofit, one firm across all three is a strength. Listed without a reason, it reads like a shop that does a bit of everything.
What I did
I framed it as one approach to the whole machine
Holistic Approach for Comprehensive Solutions puts mechanical, electrical and programming in one paragraph, as parts of the same machinery design job, however complex the project.

How the build ran, 3 weeks in all

Discovery 3 days
Worked through what Cornerstone is actually procured for and how buyers describe those jobs, then mapped the five service lines.

Design 1 week
Developed the technical visual direction, the service card system, the process band and the responsive layouts.

Build 1 week
Built the site on WordPress with the five service pages, the enquiry form and the contact details surfaced in the top bar.

Launch 2 days
Cross-browser testing, form testing and deployment.
