CNC Machining & Precision Manufacturing

Scape Precision

Scape Precision runs CNC machining out of Kallang Place and has been at it for nineteen years, cutting both plastic and metal, with reverse engineering and automation alongside. We built them a site that leads with the parts themselves and then splits cleanly for the three groups who arrive at a precision manufacturer’s website for completely different reasons.

The Challenge

What They Were Facing

Precision machining is a photograph-led sale to people who know what they are looking at. A buyer can tell from a finished housing whether a shop can hold tolerance, which means the imagery has to be the company’s own parts rather than the stock CNC photography every competitor in the sector uses.

Problem 01

Three Audiences, One Small Site

A procurement engineer wants capability and a quote route. A machinist wants to know whether it is a decent place to work. An investor wants the growth story. Most manufacturer sites serve the first and quietly fail the other two.

Problem 02

Plastic and Metal Are Different Buyers

Plastic machining and metal machining draw from different industries with different tolerances, materials and expectations. Collapsing them into one "machining" page loses the specificity that makes an enquiry qualified.

Problem 03

Automation Is the Claim That Needs Evidence

Saying automation sits at the heart of the business is the sort of line every shop writes. Making it mean something requires connecting it to what a buyer cares about, which is whether a high-volume run stays consistent and on schedule.

Problem 04

Reverse Engineering Is the Under-Sold Service

Reverse engineering is often the highest-value thing a shop like this does, because it solves an obsolete-part problem nobody else will touch. It rarely gets its own billing, so the people who need it never find it.

Our Solution

How We Solved It

We put the work itself in the hero and gave each audience a visible route from the top nav, so nobody has to guess which part of the site was written for them.

01 Solution 1 of 4

The Parts Carry the Page

A full-bleed photograph of machined housings on the machine bed, shot in the actual facility, with the Scape name visible on the machine behind them. For a buyer who reads surface finish and edge quality at a glance, that does more than any capability paragraph.

02 Solution 2 of 4

Four Capabilities, Named Separately

Plastic machining, metal machining, reverse engineering and innovation each get their own page under Capabilities, so a search for a specific process lands on that process rather than a general services page.

03 Solution 3 of 4

A Facility and Quality Control Section

Dedicated pages for the facility, the industries served and quality control, because in precision manufacturing the QC process is a large part of what is actually being bought and it usually gets one line on a homepage.

04 Solution 4 of 4

Careers and Investor Relations as First-Class Routes

Both sit in the top-level navigation rather than being buried in a footer. A machining firm competing for skilled staff in Singapore needs the careers page to be findable, and an investor relations section signals a company with a growth plan rather than a job shop.

Process

How We Got There

4 phases from kickoff to launch.

1

Discovery

3 days

Mapped the three audiences and worked out which capabilities warranted their own pages rather than a shared one.

2

Design

1 week

Developed the monochrome, photography-led direction, the capability layouts and the quote-request path.

3

Build

1 week

Built the site on WordPress with the capability pages, company and quality control sections, careers and investor relations.

4

Launch

2 days

Testing across devices, form checks and deployment.
