Indoor Air Quality

UC Fresh Air

UC Fresh Air is the treatment side of the same group as UCOATE: where UCOATE supplies the certified products, UC Fresh Air sends people to your flat and treats it. We built them 133 pages, and the thing that makes it work is the content strategy. Almost nobody searches for formaldehyde removal. They search for why they have a sore throat at home but not at work, why the new BTO gives them headaches, or why their eyes sting when they open a cabinet. There are 14 guides answering exactly those, and each one leads to the service that fixes it.

The Challenge

What They Were Facing

UC Fresh Air has treated over a thousand Singapore properties since 2018 using PIAJ-certified Japanese technology, across formaldehyde and TVOC removal, VLAG antibacterial coating and QAC deep disinfection. The commercial problem is that the customer does not know the service exists. They know the flat smells wrong and their child keeps coughing, and the search they type reflects that, not the chemistry.

Problem 01

The Customer Searches a Symptom, Not a Service

Somebody who has just moved into a new BTO with headaches does not search "formaldehyde removal Singapore". They search why they get headaches in the new flat. A site built entirely of service pages is invisible to every one of those searches, which is where the demand actually is.

Problem 02

Four Services That Sound Like One

Formaldehyde and TVOC removal, VOC removal, VLAG antibacterial coating and QAC deep disinfection are genuinely different treatments for different problems, but to a homeowner they all read as "they spray something". Each needed to be distinguishable and separately findable.

Problem 03

Homes and Commercial Are Different Sales

A childcare centre, a clinic, an F&B outlet, a gym and a warehouse each have their own hygiene pressures, regulators and decision makers. Bundling them into one commercial page loses every one of those searches.

Problem 04

An Invisible Service Needs Visible Proof

You cannot see clean air. The treatment leaves nothing behind to photograph, which makes proof harder here than in almost any other trade, and makes it very easy for a competitor to claim the same results.

Our Solution

How We Solved It

We built the site backwards from the search. Start with the symptom the person actually has, explain what causes it, then connect it to the treatment, with real treated properties as the evidence.

01 Solution 1 of 5

14 Symptom-Led Guides

Always coughing at home. Sore throat at home but not at work. Headaches after moving into a new BTO. Brain fog, dizziness, wheezing, skin rashes after renovation, eyes stinging when you open a cabinet, children falling ill after a move. Each guide takes the symptom seriously first and only then explains what off-gassing has to do with it. It captures demand months before anyone knows the word formaldehyde.

02 Solution 2 of 5

26 Real Treated Properties

A project page for each, named by the actual location: Tampines, Punggol, Kovan, Serangoon, Sembawang, Toa Payoh, Telok Blangah, Hougang, Whampoa CC and more. For an invisible service, a list of specific addresses treated in specific estates is the most convincing proof available, and it doubles as local SEO no competitor can copy.

03 Solution 3 of 5

Sector Pages for Commercial Buyers

14 pages covering clinic, childcare, school, F&B, restaurant, gym, warehouse, shopping centre and office work, each written to the hygiene pressure that particular operator is under rather than as a generic commercial services page.

04 Solution 4 of 5

A Blog Organised by Intent, Not by Date

Five categories, formaldehyde guides, indoor air quality, materials and renovation, symptoms, and workplace hygiene, so the library stays navigable as it grows past a hundred pages and each cluster reinforces the service it sits next to.

05 Solution 5 of 5

Full Service and Review Schema

Service and OfferCatalog markup across the treatments, FAQPage on the guides, plus AggregateRating carrying the 5/5 average from 87 reviews. The credentials, PIAJ certification and 1,000+ treated properties, sit in the hero rather than on an About page.

Process

How We Got There

4 phases from kickoff to launch.

1

Content Strategy

1.5 weeks

Researched how people describe indoor air problems before they know the cause, and built the symptom-to-service map that the whole site is structured around.

2

Design

1 week

Developed the deep navy system with blue and green gradient lighting, the service layouts, the project page template and the guide templates.

3

Build

2.5 weeks

Built the 133 pages on Astro, including the seven service lines, 26 project pages, the categorised blog and the Service, FAQPage and AggregateRating schema.

4

Content & Launch

1 week

Published the symptom guides and sector pages, wired internal linking from every guide into the relevant service, and deployed.
