Home Services & Trades Website Design in Singapore
Trade businesses in Singapore are not competing with each other online. They are competing with lead aggregators, the directories that rank for every trade in every estate, take the homeowner’s details and sell them back to the contractors who could have taken the call directly.
You do not beat those by having a nicer homepage. You beat them by having a page for the specific thing somebody searched, in the specific place they searched it, because that is the one thing a national directory cannot do as well as a local operator who actually works there.

What a home services website has to do
Match how people actually search
Nobody with a burst pipe searches "handyman". They search "plumber Bedok", "aircon servicing Yishun", "digital lock installation HDB". A single homepage listing twenty services and the word "islandwide" cannot rank for any of those, no matter how good the company is.
Make credentials visible above the fold
BCA registration, insurance, WSH-certified technicians and a workmanship guarantee are what separate a real firm from a number on a lift-lobby sticker. On a phone listing none of it shows, and the homeowner is being asked to trust a mobile number.
Convert in chat, not in a form
A leaking ceiling at nine at night is a photograph sent on WhatsApp, not a five-field enquiry form with a dropdown. Any path that makes someone type out the problem loses the job to whoever picked up first.
Tell Google exactly where you work
Saying "islandwide" tells a search engine nothing. Naming twenty-five estates in your schema and giving each one a page tells it precisely where you should show up.
How I build home services sites
- 1
Cross every service with every area
Handyman AZ runs 23 service pages and 29 area pages plus five regional hubs and four property-type pages, 66 in total. Each one aimed at a search somebody is actually typing rather than a category the business happens to use internally.
- 2
Put WhatsApp and call side by side, everywhere
In the header, in the hero, at the end of every section, and in a sticky bar on mobile. The copy asks for a photo rather than a description, because a picture of the leak quotes faster than a paragraph about it.
- 3
Mark up the business properly
HomeAndConstructionBusiness schema with aggregate rating, opening hours and an areaServed list naming all five regions and twenty-five estates. It is the difference between claiming islandwide coverage and proving it.
- 4
Track the calls as conversions from day one
Three Google Ads conversion actions on call, WhatsApp and lead form, plus GA4 events and session recording. Trade businesses spend real money on ads and usually cannot tell you which page produced the job.

Founder & Lead Strategist, Terris (Singapore)
Every project on this page was handled by me personally, from the first conversation to launch. You are not briefing an account manager and then being handed to someone else. That is also why the portfolio is deliberately specific: I would rather show you the 4 projects I have genuinely done in your sector than claim expertise in twenty.
How I report results
- Real projects, live URLs. Every case study links to the site itself, so you can check the work rather than take my word for it.
- Figures come from the client or the build. Page counts and structure are countable from the site. Traffic and lead figures are only shown where the client shared them.
- No invented testimonials. Quotes are shown only where a client actually gave one, which is why some case studies here have none.
- Prices are current and public. The figures quoted in the questions below match the published packages, not a number invented for this page.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a home services website cost in Singapore?
It scales with how many services and areas you want to cover. A single-trade business covering the whole island fits the One Week Website at SGD 3,500. A full service-by-area structure like Handyman AZ, at 66 pages with local schema and ads tracking, is a bespoke build from SGD 4,500 and took four weeks.
Do I really need a page for every estate?
You need one for every area you genuinely serve and want to be found in. Thin pages that just swap the estate name in and out are a liability, not an asset. Each page has to say something true about working in that area, which is why I cap the list at the places you actually go.
Will this get me above the lead aggregators?
On broad head terms like "handyman singapore", the directories are entrenched and I will not promise you that fight. On the specific service-plus-area searches where the job actually starts, an operator with a real page, real credentials and real local schema competes very well. That is where the structure is aimed.
Can you set up the Google Ads tracking too?
Yes. Handyman AZ has conversion tracking on calls, WhatsApp taps and form submissions, so you can see which service and which area produced each job rather than guessing at your ad spend.
Choosing a web designer for a trade business
Most trade websites in Singapore are one page pretending to be twenty. Every service is listed, every estate is covered, and none of it exists as anything a search engine can rank or a customer can land on. Meanwhile the directories, who have exactly that structure, take the enquiry and sell it back.
Fixing it is unglamorous and it works. Give each service a page that says something real about that service. Give each area a page that says something real about working there. Put your licence numbers and your insurance where a nervous homeowner will see them, and make the next step a WhatsApp message rather than a form. That is most of the job.
If you are paying for leads that were looking for you in the first place, that is the problem worth fixing first. Have a look at the Handyman AZ case study and get in touch.
